Molecular Phenotyping of Brachypodium to Provide Metabolic and Functional Linkages to the Plant-Atmosphere-Soil-Systems (iPASS) Model

EMSL Project ID
49945

Abstract

This proposal aims to provide the fundamental molecular characterization necessary to develop a model which ultimately links phenotypic measurements to the atmospheric processes and soil biogeochemistry associated with Brachypodium during its lifecycle and under conditions of drought stress and increased atmospheric CO2 concentrations. Ultimately, these connections will serve in elucidating the complexities of carbon cycling between terrestrial and atmospheric systems. This LDRD proposal was funded and approved as part of the iPASS initiative. I now need it approved under the EMSL user proposal system.
