Randy Norheim
Technologist

Randy Norheim is a technologist with the Instrument Development Lab team. He specializes in electronic hardware design, development, and fabrication. As part of a team of software and hardware engineers, he assists scientists, users, and PNNL and EMSL researchers to develop novel, cutting-edge instruments and systems. He also maintains a full stock of electronic parts, instruments, and equipment that can be consumed or loaned, on a walk-in basis, to all staff and users. Norheim has designed the new, compact Adaptable Multiple Power Source electronic system that is now widely used in EMSL and by partners in academia. He has also made major contributions to the new SLIM (Structured Lossless Ion Mobility) Initiative and the new 21 Tesla HRMAC system.
